With Stéphane Degoutin and Gwenola Wagon.
In the novel published by Samuel Butler in 1871, the inhabitants of Erewhon, discovering that machines evolve, and evolve faster than living beings, decide to get rid of them. They destroy all their machines.
One hundred and fifty years later, we rediscover the city of Erewhon. But machines have not disappeared. Quite the contrary. Machines now take care of everything: industry, agriculture, leisure, safety. Machines even take care of humans. Everything seems to have gone for the best. Humans seem to be happy. Yet there is something uncanny about them.
We offer an exploration of the city of Erewhon through ten video episodes.
